We are very excited to announce that we are starting a new preschool program at Baby Power & Forever Kids for 2 and 3 year olds.  While the official preschool schedule will begin in August (the same week that DPS starts school), we will be launching the preschool curriculum this spring in a limited scope with our 3 Year old Afternoon Preschool.  If you are interested in our Afternoon MWF class - let us know right away and we will get that started!!! The preschool classes will include:  center time, music, crafts, gym time, snack, story time and much, much more:)  We will be enhancing our current space to accommodate the needs of the new program during the next month.  We are extremely excited and hope to have the support our Baby Power Families and the Stapleton Community.  Thank you and please let us know if you have any questions about our Baby Power Preschool program.

Curriculum
We have an amazing new curriculum that is called Creative Curriculum.  The Creative Curriculum for 3 year olds will allow our staff to regularly evaluate your child's progress and post results online for parents to access.  We are planning on the following schedule and fees stated below.  We are getting a lot of interest and will most likely be filling up soon.

Meet our Preschool Teachers
We will be retaining our current teachers to teach our preschool program.  They are all college graduates and have degrees in Psychology, Art and Sociology.  Most of the teachers have taken courses specific to Child Development and all have many years of experience working with young children that are preschool age.

Favorite Childhood Memory: Going up to my family cabin in Wondervu (up the hill from Nederland). I felt calm and peaceful up there and would spend time just listening to the aspen trees rustle in the summer wind

How long you've worked for BPFK: I have work at BPFK since December of 2008. I found out about BPFK when I brought the child I nannied for, for classes with Rachel. We loved it and I was so happy I have now come to work here!

Place you were born: Honolulu, Hawaii. My father was in the Navy, so I have lived and traveled in many different places. I consider the Washington D.C. area to be my home, since I spent the most time there.
Favorite Childhood Memory: I loved going to the beaches of North Carolina for family vacations and swimming in the breaking waves for hours until I was exhausted. My daughter has been attending classes at Baby Power for over a year, which is how I became connected with the school and the opportunity to teach.
Favorite Activities: I love the outdoors. A hike in the gorgeous Colorado mountains with my husband, Kory, my daughter Anna, and our crazy dog, Jasper, is my favorite way to spend a weekend day.
Teaching Style: I have a bachelors degree in math and strongly believe that introducing mathematical concepts to children at an early age will help to prevent anxiety about math and science in the future. I sing in a local choir and love to sing and enjoy music with my students. Music will be prevalent in my classroom.
Favorite Kid Movies: Kung Fu Panda. I love anything funny and family friendly.
Favorite Time of Year: My favorite season is definitely summer. As much as I love to ski each winter, I wish I could come back to a sunny, 70 degree day in Denver, and leave the snow and cold up in the mountains year-round.
